The Warlocks kicked o<a href=\"http:\/\/warlocks1507.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/18-frc-logo-power-up-bc.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1310 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/warlocks1507.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/18-frc-logo-power-up-bc-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"122\" height=\"92\" srcset=\"https:\/\/warlocks1507.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/18-frc-logo-power-up-bc-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/warlocks1507.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/18-frc-logo-power-up-bc.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 122px) 100vw, 122px\" \/><\/a>ff 2018 with a brand new FIRST Challenge,\u00a0called FIRST Power Up.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0On Saturday, January 6th, 125+\u00a0community leaders, business sponsors, mentors, students, parents, and teachers along with Mrs. Bradley, our superintendent, witnessed as we started our FIRST 6 week journey. Mr. Bob Vasko, chief engineer at MAHLE, opened the morning up bright and early with a page from Robotics 101 designed by MAHLE. This Robotics 101 activity was to start turning students creative minds\u00a0 to understanding the four types of creators: Ideators, Clarifiers, Developers, and Implementers. After this we began our creative process. We ran matches using humans instead of robots, in order <a href=\"http:\/\/warlocks1507.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_5626.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1355 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/warlocks1507.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_5626-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/warlocks1507.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_5626-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/warlocks1507.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_5626-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/warlocks1507.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/IMG_5626-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 288px) 100vw, 288px\" \/><\/a>to fully understand the challenge. The day after kickoff we went to the YMCA to brainstorm further how we want our robot to look and what we want the robot to do.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Later in the week we began developing prototypes.
