January 4th: The team gathers at the school to watch NASA TV as the 2014 game is announced. Many family members and past team members also attended.
The team immediately began brainstorming how to best play the game and what sort of robot to build. With only six weeks to develop a working robot, no time was wasted.
Six weeks of intense non-stop (except for snow days) brainstorming, designing, building, programming, practicing, and training, all in preparation for our regional competitions.
The Tenth Annual Rochester Rally at Penfield High School was attended by a record number of teams: 22.
We were there and took advantage of practicing on the full-sized field mock-up.
In order to get the maximum time for driver practice and programming, we built a near-duplicate of the competition robot.
While the Warlocks didn't attend the NY Tech Valley regional in Troy, one mentor went as a volunteer. Since he was there, here's a few photos.
14 of these teams will be at Fingerlakes Regional, so we will be seeing many of them there.
The Warlocks attended the 2014 Buckeye Regional at the Wolstein Center on Cleveland State University in Cleveland Ohio.
The Warlocks attended the 10th Fingerlakes Regional at RIT and came home with the Gold medal.
