Home of the Warlocks!

The Warlocks are a High-School level team participating in the FIRST Robotics program.

Each year, the team, along with thousands of others all around the world, receives a kit of parts and the details of a game they must use to build a robot to compete with. With only six weeks to complete the robot, they brainstorm, design, build, debug and perfect their robot, then ship it off to their first regional competition.

Then the fun really starts. We play the year's game in three-on-three team alliances, teamed up with other teams, playing against even more teams. As matches go on, you will play against teams that were your ally in previous matches. Gracious professionalism is the name given the unique brand of cooperation, competition and sportsmanship this format requires.

All in all, it's an intense, and greatly satisfying program that gives our young people a real-world taste of science, engineering and working-world interaction. Couple that with a large base of available scholarships exclusively for FIRST participants, and you'll see why so many of our graduates go on into college and sucessful careers.

The Warlocks in Lockport Old Home Week Parade

A bunch of the team turned out on a hot and muggy Saturday to show our team spirit in the Lockport Old Home Week Parade. The hardy members walked from Eastern Niagara Hospital on East Ave. to Ida Fritz Park on Park Ave.

A huge turnout of parade watchers was lined up along the route to see the parade and we showed off our two robots to the city.

Our next event in the public eye will be the Niagara County Fair, coming up August 4-8. Colin Stutz is looking for volunteers to help out with that event.
