Lockport Robotics is a not-for-profit, educational organization to promote interest in technology and personal growth in young people through the use of a competitive robotics program called FIRST. We are in our fourth year as an exciting, engaging program for High School students in Lockport, NY.

FIRST, which stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, designs accessible innovative programs to build self-confidence, knowledge and life-skills while motivating young people to pursue opportunities in science, technology and engineering. With the support of many large corporations, this not-for-profit organization hosts the FIRST Robotics Competition and FIRST VEX Challenge for High School students, the FIRST Lego League for children 9-14 years old and the Junior FIRST Lego League for 6-9 year-olds. For more information on FIRST visit their web site.

Welcome New Warlocks!

Well, it's time for the new Warlocks season to start and begin preparing for the 2008-2009 FIRST Robotics season.

One of the top priorities right now, is to say goodbye to this website and begin planning the new one for the coming season. We'll keep this one for historic reasons, but as soon as possible I'd like to see a new site running and all information centralized there.

Those of you who have login IDs for this site, they will continue to work, but there is no need for the new students to create one.

Warlocks featured in Newspaper article

The Lockport Union-Sun & Journal featured local FIRST Robotics teams 1507 and 378 recently. Reporter Joe Olenick interviewed members of both teams and put together a great story of the 2008 season and the robotics program.
